TUSCALOOSA, A.L. (January 24,2011) – Boxer Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder, 2008 Olympic Bronze Medalist, will hold a public news conference to announce his upcoming professional boxing match that will take place on February 19th, 2011 at the Umphrey Center, located on the Martin Campus of Shelton State Community College. The news conference will be held Friday, January 28th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Atrium of Shelton State Community College’s Martin Campus on Highway 69 South.
 
Team Wilder is expected to announce his opponent, in addition to five undercard fights; plus ticket information and the specifics of Alabama’s first ever professional boxing event. Wilder, of Tuscaloosa, was the only boxing medalist for the United States at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.  Since turning professional, Wilder is 14-0 with 14 knockouts in the heavyweight division.
