Deontay WilderÂ
Twenty-three year old boxer Deontay Wilder is the 2008 Beijing Olympics Bronze Medalist. He was the only boxer on the United States team to win a medal in Beijing. He's the first boxer ever born and trained in Alabama to make the Olympic team.Â
To put this in perspective, there are 1, 471 registered boxing gyms in the United States. The Skyy Gym in Northport, Alabama has the only Olympic Medalist. Deontay Wilder!Â

He's only been boxing three years and in that time he's won the National Golden Gloves Title, the USA Boxing National Title, the Olympic Trials National Title and the Bronze at the Beijing Olympics. He did all of this with only 30 total bouts of experience, which has never been done before in the history of boxing.Â
The 6'7" heavyweight is a product of Central High School in Tuscaloosa.Â
He has signed to turn pro with Shelly Finkel and Jay Deas as managers and Golden Boy Promotions as his Promoter. His next goal is to become the Heavyweight Champion of the World!!Â

Jay Deas started Skyy Boxing in 1995 to train, manage and promote local fighters. At 26, he was the youngest promoter in the sport. In 2007, Deas was named as the United States Olympic Committee's National Development Boxing Coach of the Year.

Mark BrelandÂ
Mark Breland has moved from Brooklyn, New York, to Northport, Alabama to train Deontay Wilder. Mark won the Gold medal in the welterweight division at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. He followed that by winning two World titles as a professional boxer. He is also an accomplished actor, having starred in "The Lords of Discipline," among other roles.
Jesper SjokvistÂ
Jesper Sjokvist is charged with adding pounds to Deontay Wilder while not sacrificing speed or agility. The 6'7" Wilder fought in the Olympics at 201 pounds and made his pro debut at 207 pounds. Strength coach Sjokvist envisions an eventual 230 pound Wilder! Sjokvist has worked with the New York Giants and St. Louis Rams of the NFL, as well as Professional European Soccer and college athletes in swimming, tennis, football, gymnastics and various other sports.
